The library ordering module is designed to allow you to place requests for library materials online and see the status of your requests as they move through an automated approval process. Prior to this system, all library material requests were hand-written onto “Yellow Cards” and proceeded through a manual approval process. This new system automatically routes requests, based on the department, to the appropriate departmental coordinator. Once approved by the department coordinator it moves to the appropriate librarian liaison’s approval queue. This should greatly speed the time that it takes for a request to move to the ordering stage. Learn from the people who developed it, what the new, Banner-based, Library Ordering Module is all about.
