There are many problems that have been noted regarding the way physical education classes are structured. Many students have not been able to achieve the goals set forth by NASPE and other organizations due to these structural dilemmas. A number of suggestions have been made to address these concerns, including implementing choice unit curriculums. Choice units can be implemented successfully when appropriate guidelines are followed. This presentation will discuss the success of one local district as well as the concerns physical education departments may have when implementing choice units.
