This project is an investigation into the communication lives of 6th through 12th grade students. In order to get accurate insight into this area, a new survey was created to measure personalization as it relates to both face-to-face communication and electronic communication via text message or instant messaging. The survey was used to answer the question of whether or not the use of instant message programs and text messages via cellular telephones is negatively affecting personalization of communication between 6th through 12th grade students.
