The College at Brockport is one of thirty-four AASCU institutions selected to participate in a multi-campus initiative of the American Democracy Project (ADP). Unlike earlier project driven initiatives in ADP, e-Citizenship explores the tools available to the citizen of the 21st century. As we become more closely connected and interconnected, questions emerge concerning the individual’s role and responsibilities in the world of evolving technology. Who’s in control? What are the rules? Where does ethical behavior fit in? This session presents an introduction to the e-Citizenship initiative and addresses: what it is, the steps we as a campus have taken to date in this three year initiative, who the current players are, and how students and faculty can participate.
