Don't Reinvent the Wheel: Using Teaching Practices That Are Proven to Work

This presentation will examine researched based teaching methods that the presenter has put into a unit plan for the Progressive Era for her Honors Thesis project. It is an important topic to the presenter because she has hopes of one day becoming a teacher herself and wants to provide her students with the best education that she possibly can. The presentation will include a quick overview of the unit plan with a discussion on why the Progressive Era was an important time in history especially for students and an overview of what teaching methods are proven best to work in the classroom to meet a multitude of needs within the classroom.
