Iran has always been an extremely important player in the Middle Eastern political scene and economics. Today, Iran is becoming a state with further expanding regional and political interests. A suspicious aspect of Iranian politics is its relations with various terrorist groups such as Hezbollah and Hamas. In respect to the Iranian label for theocratic governance of the Middle Eastern countries, close relations with Hezbollah and Hamas might bring many security problems for the whole region. There have also being conjectures and speculations about secret Iranian-Al-Qaida connections. This presentation will explain how the current theocratic government of Iran and its relations with the above mentioned terrorist groups impact the stability of Middle East and the relations of Iran with the West.
