Narrative Therapy as Treatment for Children with a History of Severe Attachment Disruption

The project includes a pre and post clinical behavioral assessment that is rated by parents of children who have a history of severe attachment disruption. The assessment is used before and after six counseling sessions with the presenter as the therapist. Narrative therapy is used as the primary modality. Narrative therapy is a strength based model that uses externalization of the problem, identification of unique outcomes, and second story development built upon the client's strengths and skills.
