This session offers a panel presentation of five interdisciplinary student projects completed in fall ’09 Honors WMS 360 – Sex and Culture. Panel topics include, "The Free Birthing Movement;" "Homosexuality in Serbia;" "'Push' by Sapphire: A Study in Race, Class, and Gender;" "Power and Sex in The Handmaids Tale;" and "Sex Trafficking." The collective topics cover a diverse range of women and gendered issues complicated by notions of person and place. Audience members will have the occasion to consider sex and gender constructs reproduced across time, circumstance, and location.
