Finding Untold Stories: Service Learning in Memphis

Memphis is a city of rich history. Much of that history has been lost to time - what we call "untold stories." During this session, members of a Protest and Public Opinion class share the "untold stories" that they uncovered during their service learning trip to Memphis in January, 2011. The group explores what they learned about the Civil Rights Movement and the Zion Cemetery Project using video, journalism articles and personal reflections. Individual class members reflect on how this service learning experience affected their learning, their personal growth and their aspirations for the future.
