This paper will provide a look into the lives of the women of Iran prior to the Iranian Revolution as well as after. The presenter will discuss the changes that occur in the lives of women due to a shift in political power, and compares them to the gender roles of the Sambia of Papua New Guinea. The shift is a direct result of the Iranian Revolution of 1979 and the roles of women are still the same today.
