On the Necessity of Descartes' Eternal Truths

The presenter seeks to reconcile to seemingly inconsistent positions that Descartes holds regarding the Eternal Truths. On the one hand, these truths are deemed necessary. On the other hand, Descartes says that these truths are freely created by God. How can both of these claims be true?
