Waste Management in Ecuador vs. the United States

The goal of the presentation is to evaluate and compare waste disposal in Ecuador, a lesser developed nation and the Unites States, a more developed nation. Waste can be divided into organic and inorganic waste. The presentation will evaluate the current waste disposal systems as well as alternative waste management uses. For example, on La Hesperia biological reserve in Ecuador plastic bottles are utilized for construction purposes. In the United States, athletic shoes are divided into three material components and are recycled. This analysis of waste management will provide multi-regional insight into alternative waste management techniques.
