The ideal girl is 5 foot, 7 inches, 100 pounds and a size 5 with long blonde hair and blue eyes. How many girls actually fit this ideal image? Very few women fit this ideal image; however, every girl is constantly pressured to conform to it. The media have distorted the way young girls and women think is beautiful. Unfortunately, they have been so affected by the media's influence that several are suffering mentally and physically. It isn't just the media in American that has influenced young women; media are influencing women all around the world as well. Will the way media portray women ever change? What can our society do to help?
