The Brockport Storm Chasing class, taught over Summer 2011, was an excellent experience in hands on learning out of the classroom. Going out into the Great Plains brought the chance to forecast daily for weather hazards, as well as learn navigation tips and field experience with various weather instruments. There are many details when forecasting for a storm. This presentation aims to focus in on the many aspects of forecasting for a storm chase as well as analyze what can be learned for future forecasting excursions.
