This research examines the relationship of parenting styles and deviant behavior. Wilson and Herrnstein suggest that parents who are warm and restrictive in their parenting styles will lessen the occurrence of deviant behavior. This presentation tests Wilson and Herrnstein theory among youth in Western New York. Using a sample of 100 respondents, the results will determine if Wilson and Herrnstein theory really correlate to deviancy.
