Nursing Home Culture Change

The purpose of this research presentation is to describe the progress of the nursing home culture change movement and identify ways to get the public involved in quality of life and quality of care in long term care facilities. This paper will discuss various models of getting the public involved and help people understand quality of life and the quality of care and how all of this is affected by culture change. The primary research question is: How does culture change affect the public's view on quality of life and quality of care in long term care facilities and how can we get the public more involved? In addition to reviewing literature about nursing home culture change, this researcher will interview Ms. Rosemary Fagan and Ms. Carter Williams, experts and primary sources of knowledge regarding this topic.
