An overview of outreach and preventive programs for inner city at-risk youth will be presented. Outreach and preventive programs for at-risk youth seek to eliminate the problem of juvenile delinquency and increase the number of juveniles graduating high school and becoming productive members of society. With the right programs and processes in place there can potentially be a significant increase in high school graduation rates and reduction in juvenile delinquency. Graduating from high school increases the chances a person will attend college and become a productive member of society.
