Animated television shows can take on serious issues just like live television shows. South Park is one of the many shows that confront cultural and societal issues head-on. South Park presents racial stereotypes as more comical than offensive, though to some they may still be considered offensive. South Park uses racial stereotypes in a way that makes fun of American pop culture, critiquing the use of such stereotypes in America.
