The presenter will reflect on her recent role as workshop facilitator at the 2013 New York State Association for the Education of Young Children in Verona, NY. The conference session focused on helping even reluctant early childhood teachers create a safe environment for creative movement in daycares, preschools, and public school settings. She will analyze connections between theory and practice in planning for teacher training workshops, lessons learned, and how the integrity of her personal philosophy of dance education was challenged or supported in the process.
