The 2012 Senate election race in Montana was particularly interesting because of the vast amount of outside money spent on it. The race between Senator Jon Tester (D) and Representative Denny Rehberg (R) became one of the most expensive and most advertised campaigns during this past election season. The presenter will discuss how this race was narrowly won by Senator John Tester. She will also discuss the impact the Supreme Court decision in Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission (2010) had on this election.
