This presentation includes the historical context of homosexuality and gender identity listed in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders and its changes from the 1950s to present day. The discussion entails the American Psychiatric Association's original removal of the homosexuality 'diagnosis' and what other changes are yet to come.
