This session details a Collaborative Online, International Learning (COIL) WMS 360 Sex and Culture Honors course that partnered women and gender studies (WMS) students/faculty at the College at Brockport with WMS/linguistics students/faculty at Novgorod State University, Russia. The session showcases student-produced collaborative Public Service Announcements (PSA)s where students in each country reported on variety of course-specific WMS 360 research topics. Audience members will have the occasion to consider transnational sex and gender constructs reproduced across time, circumstance, and location. The WMS 360 COIL course was offered under a two-year SUNY National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) supported COIL Institute for Globally Networked Learning in the Humanities with Dr. Barbara LeSavoy (WMS), Ann Giralico Pearlman (CELT), and Dr. Elena Lukovistkaya (Novgorod State University, Russia) serving as COIL Institute Fellows.
