Every dance exists in a complex network of relationship to other dancers. The similarities could be found more or less if one looks deeply into the origins and cultural backgrounds of different types of dance. This study will show the similar circulartheory in Chinese Classical Dance and American Modern Dance. Through analyzing the origin and development of Chinese Classical Dance and American Modern Dance, the study will demonstrate how the circular theory was created in these two types of dance. The huge visual differences between these two types of dance will be furthered analyzed through the deep illustration of their training systems. How do they look different, and why?
