Not-for-Profit Growth in Rochester, NY, and Dynamics within the Community

This research looks a few of the advantages and disadvantages of a not-for-profit organization in Rochester, NY. The growth of nonprofit organizations has increased over the years. The United States economy could not have survived the recession without the help of small business and nonprofit organizations. Non-profits are so vital to the labor force. For instance, non-profits employ more women at higher levels of positions than in traditional organizations; thus, they are able to gain leadership training and offer great mentorship for younger women and girls. This presentation will discuss the various reasons of growth of non-profit organizations in Rochester, NY. Guest Speaker: Paula Hellman, President, Metro Justice (not-for-profit organization).
