Kaitlin Olson & "Sweet" Dee Reynolds: Not Regular Sitcom Birds

"It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia" has been able to successfully launch two networks (FX and FXX). "It’s Always Sunny"’s massive audience, and its ability to jump-start networks, illustrates that there is something special, or at least different, about it. Often misunderstood for being cynical, "Sunny" is a satirical-comedy that heavily criticizes American culture, behind the guise of comedy. Not afraid to be bold, they have given us “Sweet” Dee Reynolds, played by Kaitlin Olson, who they masterfully use to examine and critique what it means to be an American woman today, both in real life and on television.
