What is Conduct Disorder? A Literature Review

This presentation will address the recent literature on Conduct Disorder (CD) in children. This will include a brief description of the disorder and related disorders, etiology and environmental factors, and current therapeutic techniques. A particular focus of this presentation will be the relationship between Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), CD, and Antisocial Personality Disorder (ASPD). Specifically, this presentation will examine what separates those who develop ASPD after being diagnosed with CD from those who do not develop ASPD after being diagnosed with CD. Future implications will be discussed.
