Living in a Pre-Programmed Life: The Social Oppression of "Ralph"

Today’s world is made up of socially constructed identities such as race, class, gender, and sexual orientation. Within those identities there are two groups, oppressors and the oppressed. This presentation will walk the audience through the Hardiman and Jackson Social Identity Development Model and then the model will be applied to the character, Ralph, from the Disney movie, “Wreck-it-Ralph”, in order to further the understanding of the theory. The session will illustrate what we as a population have to do to rid the world of oppression.

Please note that presentation times are approximate. If you are interested in attending sessions with multiple presentations, please be in the room at the start of the session.
