The Rhetorical Theory of Richard Weaver

Richard Weaver, a conservative theorist born in North Carolina in 1910, was most well known for his attacks on modernism, and his desire to find a method of preserving and propagating cultural values. This paper covers a number of Weaver’s beliefs, including scientism vs. humanism, various styles of argument, and the importance of rhetoric in modern education.
