Laban Movement Analysis: An Expressive Tool for Dancers and Choreographers

Dance students can generate knowledge, acquire skills and develop tools to become more expressive performers and choreographers through Laban Movement Analysis. Visiting Professor of Dance, Bill Evans and students from his introduction to Laban Movement Analysis course perform a choreographic excerpt and reveal how concepts from Laban's theories of Effort, Shape and Space were applied in its creative process.
