Kenneth Burke's Ritual Dramatistic Theory

This paper explicates the views of rhetorical theorist, Kenneth Burkeís Ritual Dramatistic Theory. Specific attention is given to the pollution-redemption-rebirth cycle found in Burkeís work, The Rhetoric of Hitlerís Battle. The seven great moments of this cycle are identified and explained through classical and contemporary examples. The relevance of Burkeís work, in a contemporary context, is the main focus.
