Scholars Day 2005, Wednesday, April 13

SYNCHRONICITY is a performance piece that integrates a fusion of modern dance and rhythm tap with an original music score by dance department musicians. This lecture demonstration is based on the creative process involved in crafting an MFA performance and choreography thesis work. The lecture will highlight how the work began and how the process unfolded over an eight-month period, from inception in the studio to presentation in a concert setting. The demonstration will incorporate the movement phrases and rhythmic ideas that motivically unify the work.
