Message from the Director

As you know, the cost of paying for a college education continues to escalate. Each year thousands of scholarship and grant opportunities are available to students just like you. The SUNY Brockport Scholarship Office is dedicated to assisting and guiding students in finding these opportunities. There are several ways that you can investigate the numerous opportunities that are out there.

Here are just a few!!!

• Visit the new Scholarship Office Resource Center located in the Financial Aid Office. This resource center has a computer station for web based scholarship searches, CD-ROMS, resource guides, books, and binders full of private scholarship opportunities.
• Stop by the Scholarship Office bulletin board outside the Financial Aid Office. By stopping by on a regular basis you can take full advantage of the vast array of opportunities posted weekly.
• Visit the Scholarship Office Web page at www.brockport.edu/scholarships. Many online resources may be accessed by visiting this site.
• Schedule individual appointments with the Director of Scholarships. Students may call (585) 395-5414 or email astandis@brockport.edu anytime to schedule a one on one appointment.

The Scholarship Office believes that there are rewards for students for their achievements in and out of the classroom. I encourage you to explore the resources available to you. It is the best way for you to discover the vast array of possibilities.
