The Brockport Association of Students Sociologists *(BASS)
Double Major in Criminal Justice and Sociology
Reading Academic Journal Articles
BASS is a student-run club that began in the 1970s. The purpose of BASS is to plan events of interest to sociology majors and other students at SUNY Brockport. Past events have included career panels, alumni panels, film screenings and discussions, meetings with visiting speakers and candidates for faculty positions, social events, and service activities. Participating in BASS is a great way to get to know other majors, interact with professors outside of class, and learn organizational management skills.
Want to get involved? Check the Stylus for the times and locations of club meetings and events – anyone is welcome. Or contact 2006-2007 president Bekki Orr (rebek131@hotmail.com), vice president Pina Valle (gval0815@brockport.edu), or advisor Amy Guptill (aguptill@brockport.edu).
