Special Summer Sessions

In addition to the standard Summer Sessions I, II and III, there are Special Sessions with non-standard class schedules that vary throughout the summer. For these courses, look closely at the meeting dates and times. Courses shorter than five weeks may require readings and/or assignments before classes begin. Description

Canceled Courses
Registration for summer courses begins Monday, March 19 and continues until classes begin or have been filled. Although it happens infrequently, some courses fail to meet a minimum enrollment and are canceled. Register and affirm your enrollment early to be sure you are counted!

Notification of Course Cancelation or Changes via your Brockport E-mail Account
If a significant change is made to a course for which you've registered (e.g., day or time change, location change) we will attempt to notify you via your Brockport e-mail address. Please note that the College considers this e-mail as the official method of communication to students. In order to receive these communications, you must check your campus e-mail account regularly.

In the event of a course cancellation, an attempt will be made to notify you by both e-mail (at your Brockport e-mail address) and telephone. Please be sure your e-mail address and phone number are up to date on Web Banner (Campus Information System). If your course is canceled, you may select an alternate course prior to the first day of class. Additionally, if your course is canceled, your summer charges will be adjusted accordingly and if you are due a refund, one will be automatically processed for you.

SummerSession '12 Important Dates and Deadlines
Monday, March 19	Summer registration begins for all sessions. Online registration begins at 6 am.
Thursday, April 26 (4 pm)*	Registrations that have not been "affirmed" online by students are purged (after 4 pm). Students may re-register for their courses if space is still available (late fees apply).
Friday, April 27	Deadline (postmarked) - Session I, mail-in registration. * Registrations made on or after Friday, April 27, 2012, must be "affirmed" online by checking the "accept" box on the Enrollment Agreement screen within 24 hours of registration. Failure to do so results in your registration being purged and late fees will apply for re-registration.
Tuesday, May 1	Recommended deadline to file SummerSession '12 financial aid application.
Friday, May 11	Deadline - Session I, in-person/fax registration (5 pm). Deadline (postmarked) - Session II, mail-in registration.
Saturday, May 12	Commencement.
Sunday, May 13	Online registration for Session I ends.
Monday, May 14	SummerSession I begins
Friday, May 25	Session I ends. Deadline - Session II, in-person/fax registration (12 pm).
Monday, May 28	Online registration for Session II ends. Memorial Day observed. All College services closed.
Tuesday, May 29	SummerSession II begins
Friday, June 15	Deadline (postmarked) - Session III, mail-in registration.
Friday, June 29	Session II ends. Deadline - Session III, in-person/fax registration (12 pm).
Sunday, July 1	Online registration for Session III ends.
Monday, July 2	SummerSession III begins
Wednesday, July 4	Independence Day observed. All College services closed.
Saturday, August 4	SummerSession III ends.

"Special Session" Registration Deadlines: The mail-in/fax registration deadline for courses offered during a Special Session is 10 business days before the course begins. The in-person/online registration deadline for these courses is the business day before the course begins. Payment should be received in the Office of Student Accounts on or before the first day of any session you are attending. The Office of Registration and Records, (585) 395-2531, is open Monday - Thursday, 8 am to 4 pm, and 8 am - 12 pm on Fridays. The SummerSession Office, (585) 395-2900 is open Monday - Thursday, 8:30 am to 4 pm, and 8:30 am - 12 pm on Fridays.
