Special Summer Sessions
In addition, there are Special Sessions with non-standard schedules that vary throughout the summer. For these courses, you must look closely at the meeting dates and times. Courses shorter than five weeks may require readings and/or assignments before classes begin. Course notes can be found online by clicking on the underlined CRN <Course Reference Number> on the online course schedule.

Canceled Courses
Registration for summer courses begins Tuesday, April 1 (no fooling!) and continues until classes begin or have been filled. Although it happens infrequently, some courses fail to meet a minimum enrollment and are canceled.

In the event of a course cancellation, an attempt will be made to notify you by both mail and telephone. Please be sure your mailing address and phone number are up to date on our computer records. You may select an alternate course prior to the first day of class.

If your course is canceled, your Summer charges will be adjusted accordingly, and if you are due a refund, one will be automatically processed for you.

SummerSession '08 Important Dates and Deadlines
Tuesday, April 1	Summer registration begins for all sessions. Online registration begins at 6 am.
Thursday, May 1 (4 pm)*	Registrations that have not been "affirmed" online by students are purged (4 pm). Students must re-register for their courses if space is still available (late fees apply). Recommended deadline to file Summer financial aid application.
Friday, May 2	Deadline (postmarked)-Session I mail-in registration.
Friday, May 16	Deadline-Session I in-person/fax registration (5 pm). Registration for Sessions II and III continues. Deadline (postmarked) for Session II mail-in registration.
Saturday, May 17	Commencement.
Sunday, May 18	Online registration for Session I ends.
Monday, May 19	SummerSession I begins
Monday, May 26	Memorial Day observed (1).
Friday, May 30	Session I ends. Deadline-Session II in-person/fax registration (4 pm). Registration for Session III continues.
Sunday, June 1	Online registration for Session II ends.
Monday, June 2	SummerSession II begins
Friday, June 20	Deadline (postmarked)-Session III mail-in registration.
Thursday, July 3	Session II ends. Deadline-Session III in-person/fax registration (4 pm).

* Registrations made on or after May 2, 2008, must be "affirmed" online by checking the "accept" box on the Enrollment Agreement screen within 24 hours of registration. Failure to do so results in your registration being purged and late fees will apply for re-registration.

"Special Session" Registration Deadlines: The mail-in/fax registration deadline for courses offered during a Special Session is 10 business days before the course begins. The in-person/online registration deadline for these courses is the business day before the course begins. Full payment is due prior to the first day of class. The Office of Registration and Records, (585) 395-2531, is open Monday - Friday, 8 am to 4 pm. The SummerSession Office is open Monday - Friday, 8:30 am to 4 pm.
