Textbooks may be ordered for shipment via UPS. Brockport students taking only MetroCenter or off-site courses will receive free shipping on all textbooks purchased through the Barnes & Noble College Bookstore. You must notify the bookstore of your online order number for free shipping to apply.

We recommend that students registered for a session I online course purchase textbooks well before session I begins on December 22, 2014.

The Brockport Child Development Center, located on campus in Cooper Hall, offers daycare services for children 8 weeks - 12 years old. This all-in-one card is your golden access to everything at The College at Brockport. Besides your official university identification, you'll use it as your meal card, library card, for access to residence halls, in vending machines (including those at the MetroCenter), at the College Bookstore, to attend sporting events, and much, much more.

All students are required to have an Eagle One card. The cards are free (there is a $25 replacement fee) and are available from the BASC Business Office, Brockway Hall, 8 am - 4 pm, Monday - Friday. (Closed on Monday, January 19, 2015).

You must show your ID card whenever you enter the MetroCenter. If you have any questions, please contact The College at Brockport MetroCenter at (585) 395-8000. A College at Brockport ID card may also be obtained at The College at Brockport MetroCenter in downtown Rochester.

Computer Labs

During WinterSession '15, Drake Memorial Library Computer Labs are open Monday - Friday, 8 am - 4 pm. Drake is home to a large number of PCs and Macs for student use. The Dailey Hall Computer Lab is one of the College's largest labs, and is also open Monday - Friday, 8 am - 4 pm during WinterSession. Students have access to many of the software applications they need 24 hours a day using Brockport’s virtual lab at

Walk-up computers (PCs & Macs) are located on the third floor and in the library on the first floor.

Dining Options
Brockway Dining Hall will be open from January 5-16 weekdays for lunch (11 am–1 pm) and dinner (5–6:30 pm). While menu variety will not be as extensive as during the semester, the all-you-care-to-eat meal is still a great overall value!

Jitterbugs Café will also be open weekdays from 8 am–1 pm offering it’s regular daily menu.

Parking and Transportation Services

Register your Vehicle
A parking permit is required during WinterSession '15. You may download the Vehicle Registration Form and send in the completed form with payment or stop in to the Raye H. Conrad Welcome Center. The cost is $22.35.  If your order is received after December 19, you will need to pick up your permit at the Conrad Welcome Center. Offices are closed December 21, 2014 - January 4, 2015. Permits will not be required when office is closed. Fall 2014 and Spring 2015 permits are valid during WinterSession. Day permits are available at the Conrad Welcome Center or you may pay by the hour using a pay station located in lot V (near SERC).

A free online ridesharing tool is available to help match riders with drivers in your area. Simply register online and then search the database for potential riders/drivers traveling to the same location (MetroCenter or main campus). After a ridesharing relationship is formed, consider applying for a Carpool Permit (CP), allowing access to premium parking spaces on the main campus.

Motorist Assistance Program (MAP)
If you are in need of a jumpstart, lockout services, tire inflation, or gas transportation (if you run out of gas, we will transport you to the nearest gas station with our gas can so that you can fill up), call 395-PARK during office hours for free on-campus assistance. Office hours during WinterSession '15 are 7:45 am – 4 pm, Monday - Friday.

WinterSession '15 Tutoring
The Student Learning Center (SLC) offers tutoring services during WinterSession '15, January 5 through January 23. Writing tutors will be available daily by appointment only. Please call (585) 395-2293 to schedule an appointment. Tutors for specific courses will work by appointment or will have set weekly hours. These hours will be posted on the Student Learning Center website. To request a tutor, please stop in, call, or visit our website.

Remote Writing Tutoring Program     
The Student Learning Center (SLC) will offer a remote, synchronous (real time) writing tutoring program in order to support Brockport students taking an online or MetroCenter course who are not able to travel to the Brockport campus. Please contact our office for more information.
