Writing Workshops
Help with writing is always available at SSSP, but we can help you better if you make an appointment to work with a writing tutor (usually Academic Coordinator John Curry or Director Barbara Mitrano) when you first begin to work on an assignment. We can also assist you with proofreading when the project or essay is completed, but we cannot guarantee proofreading on a drop-in basis; you must have an appointment so that a tutor can sit with you to proofread an essay.Call (585) 395-5721 or (585) 395-5891.
Study-skills Tip:
Here are two very extensive websites for information on improving your study skills:
While we believe that on-line resources for study skills and time management will be useful, the SSSP staff is always available to work with current SSSP students on a one-to-one basis. By making an appointment with the SSSP office, you will be able to implement good study skills into managing your schedule, reading your textbook, taking better notes in each of your different courses, and preparing for the exams in those courses. SSSP will work with you so that you can transfer the on-line resources to your real-time world.
