Tom Nugent and Roger Weir, academic advisement, have to hand it to Melissa Wank '95, a transfer student from Hudson Valley Community College who came to Brockport in fall 1993 and two years later departed with her BS in Health Science in hand. So what's the big deal? Five years after her arrival at Brockport, Wank's SOAR session registration form appeared in the mail! And this was a US Mail "Priority Mail" piece. Some priority. According to a stamp on the express mailing envelope, the reason for the five-year delay was that the package was, "FOUND IN SUPPOSEDLY EMPTY EQUIPMENT." Makes you thinkif they have a stamp made to explain this problem, just how often does it happen? Well, one way or another Wank made it through, and no doubt it was with a good deal of help from the people in Academic Advisement; Wank soared, even without her SOAR registration. | ||
