What is a Personal Billing Number?
Your PBN, which consists of 8 digits, is necessary to make off-campus phone calls and can be used from any on-campus phone. Each student receives a separate bill, based on the calls made using his/her PBN.
To Receive and Activate your PBN
New students who would like a PBN should use our online form. Be prepared to enter your Banner ID number, your email address, your date of birth, dorm name, room number and the last 4 digits of your campus phone number. Your request should be completed within four business after we receive it. Follow the directions below for retrieving and activating your PBN.
Returning students who already have a PBN, please follow the directions below to re-activate your PBN. (If you do not wish to use your PBN, no action is necessary.)
Dial x6333 from any on-campus phone. You will need your Student ID (9 digit number beginning with 800) and your birth date. Have a piece of paper and pen handy to write down your PBN.
