The Cripple of Inishmaan
When a Hollywood director visits a remote Irish island to make a film, crippled, orphaned Billy dreams of making it big on the silver screen. His departure gives fuel to the town gossipmonger, who proves – in many ways, in this darkly comic tale – that gossip is never the best source of the truth, especially where the demise of Billy’s parents is concerned.

During World War II, the few female pilots -- WASPs, or Women Airforce Service Pilots -- were barely tolerated by the military brass, which made the deaths of two WASPs on training missions both shocking and suspicious. Were they accidental, or caused by foul play? The service of these civilian women remained a forgotten chapter of history until it was acknowledged by President Carter, 30 years after their last military flights.
