Welcome Weekened Assistants

Alicia Artessa

Hometown: llion, New York
Class: Sophmore
Major/Minor: Political Science and History

What I love about Brockport: I love the small town atmosphere with the option to go into the city. You have the small town of Brockport and the options of Rochester and Buffalo close by. Also, the smaller campus makes college life comfortable and much less intimidating as opposed to a larger university.

About Me: I am a second year student and a student of the Delta College Program here at Brockport. I am 19 and am outgoing and fun-loving as well as goal oriented. I love to have fun with friends and do active things. After my four years at Brockport I plan to attend Law School. I also plan to study abroad in my junior year either in Greece or Spain. On campus I am the secretary of the Delta College Student Association and the secretary of the Political Science-International Relations-Pre Law club. I am also an Over Night Host for prospective Brockport students.

One Piece of Advice for students new to Brockport: Stay open minded and make the best of every new situation you encounter.

What I love about Brockport: The reason I love Brockport is for its atmosphere. Brockport is a medium-sized school with A LOT to offer. Although winters are often rough, Brockport has a beautiful campus and has friendly staff. I have always felt comfortable and accepted and I look forward to my next two years here.

One Piece of Advice for students new to Brockport: Be outgoing and proactive. Brockport has a lot to offer, but don't sit around waiting for it to come to you. What I love about Brockport: I love walking through campus and being able to see familiar faces. It’s nice to be a part of this size of a school.

About Me: I’m a transfer student and involved in a lot of clubs because I love to keep busy. If I’m not at a Habitat for Humanity meeting, or giving a tour on campus I am most likely spending time outside.
