New Students
What’s Welcome Weekend?
Simply put, it’s our way to welcome you to the Brockport family. Whether you’re a freshman or transfer student, resident or commuter, traditional or non-traditional… you’re all invited to share in the activities during Welcome Weekend. We’ve put together several “get to know us” events, as well as academic programs and a welcome dinner.
Please review the Schedule of Events for Welcome Weekend before you arrive on campus. There are several mandatory events for all new students, whether you are a freshman or transfer student. You can meet your Welcome Weekend Assistants before you get here!
At the heart of Welcome Weekend is the 14th annual Academic Convocation on Sunday, August 24 at 3:30 pm in Tuttle North Gym. With all the pomp and tradition of Commencement, the ceremony features faculty and staff in full academic regalia.
