Nalo Hopkinson writes and publishes short stories (Delicious Monster), collections (Skin Folk), plays (Indicator Species), novels (Midnight Robber) and anthologies (Mojo). She's lived in Toronto for 27 years but spent her first 16 in the Caribbean where she was born. Her writing reflects her hybrid reality, and she calls her writing 'speculative fiction.' This is fiction in which impossible things happen, including magical realism, fantasy, science fiction and horror. Latest novel is The Salt Roads.
