The Women and Gender Studies Program does not offer a masters degree in Women and Gender Studies.
Graduate work in Women and Gender Studies can be undertaken through the master of arts in liberal studies (MALS) degree. Utilizing the liberal studies seminars and graduate-level Women and Gender Studies courses, students can design a plan of study that concentrates on their areas of interest within Women and Gender Studies.
Because Women and Gender Studies courses are cross-listed with their home departments, students have considerable flexibility in their course selection. Students may also focus attention on a particular aspect of Women and Studies by independent study at two levels (WMS 599 and WMS 699). Graduate courses in Women and Gender Studies may also be taken, under advisement, as electives in other master of arts program. For information and assistance, please contact the director of the master of arts in liberal studies program: Dr. K. Rajasethupathy, 1-(585)-395-2262.
