How to Access a DARS

For Students:

You can obtain your DARS report by following these instructions:

Go to the main Brockport Web page.
Click on "Quick Links" in the far right-hand corner, then choose the link named “Web Banner".
Log in with your user ID (Banner ID #) and your password.
Click on the link on the main page that says “Student Services.”
Click on the link that says “Student Records.”
About 2/3 of the way down the page is a link that says “DARS Audit.” Click the first choice, “Submit an Audit.”
The choices should default to “Latest” under Degree Program and “List All Requirements.” If it does not, make sure that each category says this. Click “Run Audit.”
The page should automatically reload with a link that says “View Submitted Audits.” Click on it. A page should appear asking you to select which audit to view. Make sure that one is dated today. If not, click the link to refresh the list.
Click on today’s audit. This will allow you to view your audit online. At the top of the audit will be a link to view a printer-friendly version. Click this link and then print the DARS audit that pops up. The easiest way to read it if it has a + the requirement is met or currently in progress and a - means you still need to fulfill the requirement.

For Faculty and Staff:

You can obtain DARS reports for your advisees by following these instructions:

Go to the main Brockport Web page.
Click on "Quick Links" in the far right-hand corner, then choose the link named “Web Banner".
Log in with your user ID (Banner ID #) and your password.
Click on the link on the main page that says “Faculty Services”
Under "Advisement Information," click on the last link, titled “View Student DARS report.”
Click “Submit an Audit." When asked for term, choose the current term and click submit.
Select the student whose DARS you wish to access by entering either his or her Banner ID or name, and click Submit if you are given the correct student.
Verify that this student is correct by clicking "Submit ID" at the bottom of the page.
On the DARS Request page, the choices should default to “Latest” under Degree Program and “List All Requirements.” If it does not, make sure that each category says this. Click “Run Audit.”
If you need a DARS for more than one student, click "Submit another DARS report" to repeat the process with any other advisees. If this is the only student for which you need a DARS, click “View Submitted Audits.”
A page should appear asking you to select which audit to view. Make sure that one is dated today. If not, click the link to refresh the list.
Click on today’s audit for each student's DARS. This will allow you to view each audit online. At the top of the audit will be a link to view a printer-friendly version. Click this link and then print the DARS audit that pops up.
