Want to do more than just go to class?

What your campus experience will be like is up to YOU! So many college students say that college is what you make of it, so get involved! For starters, check out our list of campus clubs and organizations, BSG, Campus Life, the online Events Calendar, Athletics and Fine Arts & Cultural events.

The Office of Campus Life also is available to advise, develop, and conduct workshops ranging from personal development to skills enhancement and leadership training. They believe that your time in college is a time for you to develop as a whole person, through involvement in co-curricular programs and activities.

Do you feel like you do the same stuff every day and your whole life is planned out? Shake things up a bit and try something new!!!

Variety truly is the spice of life. There are lots of things to do on campus. How do you find out what's going on?

  1. Stop by Campus Life for a list of upcoming events (second floor of the Student Union)
  2. Visit the Brockport Student Government (BSG) for a list of academic and social organizations (ground floor of the Student Union)
  3. Pick something new and give it a try!!

Many successful students (and professionals) have found that they need to plan variety into their schedule, just like classes and study time. Use your planner to do this. No one wants to get into the rut of having a completely predictable life. Break out of the cycle by scheduling time for change. Of course, being completely spontaneous and doing some unplanned recreation doesn't hurt, every once in a while.
