This book contains over 2,000 entries on foreign films that include title, country of origin, date, running time, colour, production company, technical credits, cast, text and awards. Each entry also contains a plot summary.

REF PN 1992.95 .V554 1999. Connors, Martin and Jim Craddock, eds. VideoHound's Golden Movie Retriever. From the introduction "Each VideoHound review contains up to 19 items, ranging from title to the review to awards received to the distributor code. The information is these reviews is designed to help you choose a video you'll like, increase your enjoymenet of a movie as you watch and increase your knowledge of movie trivia."

Items include title, synposis, review, year released, MPAA rating, length, country of origin, cast, director, writer and more. For independent films, this should be your first stop.

REF PN 1995 .C343 1999. Canby, Vincent and Janet Maslin. The New York Times Guide to the Best 1,000 Movies Ever Made. The movies in this book are mainly comprised of the "top 10 films" chosen by the NYT critics at the end of each year. Entires include title, writer and director, case, producer, production company, running time and the original review from the NYT.
