Congress.org This site is a useful directory to find out who your federal or state legislators and other officers are, how to contact them, and it also offers access to information on current legislative activity in Congress.
Center for Responsive Politics This site gives a breakdown of election finances, candidate by candidate, PAC by PAC... An amazing amount of detailed information on candidates and PACs. For earlier data see Open secrets: the encyclopedia of congressional money, REF JK1991.M26 1996, which covers the 1994 elections.
The Color of Money: A research site of the nonpartisan Public Campaign, a reform campaign spending group. Election data from 1995-96 and the 1990 census are analyzed to illustrate the relation between individual campaign donations of $200 or more by zip code areas, and their racial composition, along with many other tables and statistics.
Freedom of Information Act Reading Room This fascinating site contains a growing number of FBI reports that have been assembled in response to requests made under the Freedom of Information Act and are now available on the Internet. The reports range from a 1980s investigation of the Aryan Brotherhood to 1953 hearings concerning Lucille Ball's Communist Party membership to investigations of Vietnam era anti-war groups and much more.

InfoNation: This site from the U.N. allows you to compare countries. You can select up to four indicators and search them across up to seventeen countries. For example, compare tourist arrivals in France, Italy and Spain.
Euroguide - to the European Union: A good subject access site to the European Union.
Internet Resources on Genocide and Mass Killings: This web site is wide ranging, going from the Armenian genocide early this century to current events in the Balkans.
