Costuming and Stage Setting Links
- The Costumer's Manifesto - This is a well organized, very extensive listing of links to all sorts of costuming sites. A great place to start your search for information on, say, women's dresses of the American Revolution. It's not just clothing either; it includes liks to information about jewelry etc...
- Jas. Townsend and Son, Inc. - This is a good example of a reenactor's supplier's site. Reenactors, like the people who "reenact" Civil War soldiers, go to great lengths to be historically accurate in their costuming. This site sells a wide range of goods to reenactors who are interested in the 18th and 19th centuries. You can find images and descriptions in here of clothing, eyeglasses, games... See the next link for a directory of such sites.
- Borland Community Guide to Reenactor Suppliers - A directory of resources covering everything from clay pipes to Roman Britian and much more.
