- Thomas: (US) Legislative Information Thomas is the place to go for information on legislation. The site covers congressional activity; bills, laws... from the 104th Congress (1995-1996) to date.
- U.S. Code Cornell Institute of Legal Information site has the US Code by title. Searchable by title and section; scroll down the page to search by topic.
- U.S. Government Printing Office This site provides access to a number of government databases: you can search the Federal Register, the Economic Letter of the President & more; plus a wide range of department, agency & commission items are accessible here.

- Census Bureau. This site provides online access to a wealth of statistics.
- Bureau of Labor Statistics: A lot of employment and other information, like consumer price index etc...
- White House Briefing Rooms: A good start for commonly needed economic and social statistics. Also text of press briefings and much more.
