Assistant for University Financial Analysis (MP) Title Code 3750328
This title is in the unclassified
service and is designated Managerial/Confidential. Appointees to Managerial/Confidential
titles serve at the pleasure of the chief administrative officer and are not represented
for collective negotiations.
Positions in this broad general
grouping are involved with the administering of the campus business affairs to
support and enhance the academic purpose of the campus. 'They include but are
not limited to accounting, budget development, administration and control, the
bursary, payroll, and internal audit. Supervision is generally provided by the
chief business officer -- either a Vice President for Administration or Director
of Business Affairs -- and functional specialists assigned as needed.
ASSISTANT FOR UNIVERSITY FINANCIAL
ANALYSIS (MP), usually supervises a specialized unit of the Campus Budget Control
Office such as the formulation, review and development, or accounts sections.
This position is distinguished from College Accountant (SL4) because it is assigned
significant responsibilities, not of a routine or clerical nature, in personnel
administration and is involved in recommending and reviewing policy.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business
Administration, Accounting, or Higher Education Administration.
